| John | Hurst | AU | two of my uncles were killed in the first world war, Andrew Gemmell Carmichael and Gilbert Carmichael. However, my information about their regiments is hazy as it happened a long time ago. I believe Andrew was a 2nd lieutenant in the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders. I am not sure of Gilbert's regiment though I know he was born in Lesmahagow, Glasgow. Their parents were Thomas and Jane Carmichael. Can you assist with further information. Thank you, John Thomas Carmichael Hurst |
