I visited the Memorial on a recent stay in Edinburgh. My great uncle, like
me a native of Belfast, Pte Albert Grainger 8th Black Watch (DOW 20/10/191
6) is remembered here. His sacrifice is proudly remembered and never forgo
tten. Let us salute the glorious dead who sleep in the earth of France. Gu
ard them and keep their memory alive as both a testimony and a pledge. Let
those who come after see that their name is never forgotten. Thanks to al
l concerned for this beautiful building.
